As far as people's opinions on various issues, I couldn't care less if their religions inform them. We are free to choose our sources of information and wisdom. Religion is a potential source for many.

I don't think of folks as theocrats until and unless they want to enforce by law whatever their religious directives claim are sins or unless they want to effectively establish a church for this country.

(BTW, do you know that his opposition is based on his religious beliefs? People can oppose abortion independent of religion.)
