7/13/07 Update
Once again, the market climbed a wall of tsuris and biotechs were hoisted higher along with the rest of the hangers on. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 3.59% YTD (vs. up 1.78% YTD a week ago), with the median for the Charity Contest portfolios now down just -.89% YTD (vs. down -3.18%% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 13 of the 31 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 12 of 31 beating the NBI.
It's still RCMAC in the lead with a 30.0% YTD gain. But, hey, the huge boost the Roche deal gave to Alnylam and Tekmira has catapulted my own portfolio into the black with a YTD gain of 3.9%. Watch your back RCMAC!
Below is the Top Ten list on 7/13/07:

Rank Name Total
1 RCMAC 29,998
2 ICEBERG 23,725
3 FRED 21,984

6 BIOFISH 14,782
