Are you suggesting for even one second that Iran has or can have a military that would be competitive with ours? If so, you're out of your mind. Have you any idea of the technological superiority we have over them? They're spear chuckers by comparison. I do think that suicide bombers are a pretty sophisticated weapon but they are of very limited use. Essentially useless in an offensive war. I invite you to review the cold war of the 50's to the 80's....nothing exists today that can compare to it. The scenario you describe is little more than accumulating spears....
