How much does the equipment weigh that they have to carry on the 12 mile in 3 hour march/run...??? Even without equipment, that's pretty impressive to most of us!!! Our young Military are just amazing! Karen good question. I am not sure what the answer is now. I recall 40+ years ago, for this test, we carried our weapon, helmet, our load bearing equipment with a basic load of ammo, 2 full canteens, compass, 1st aid pouch, radio and 2 c-rations - probably around 35-40 pounds. And I reserve the right to have overlooked something.
