Giving up control of Iraq, which a pull-out would do and which is strongly advocated by Democrats, will simply turn Iraq over to terrorists. Now, instead of having to work with the primitive resources offered by an area of Afghanistan under Talibam control and which is caught in a civil war, they will have real state power available to them- -probably with Iranian backing, including access to nuclear material. The attack on the US that could be mounted then would male 911 look like a picnic. How about a 10's-of-kilotons nuke exploding in the hold of an old freighter in the harbor of an American city- -or maybe several, al qaeda preferring coordinated attacks. At that point, you can expect a declaration of war and we go back in whether YOU like it or not. Is THAT what you prefer- -a war that could make WW2 look small?

Think it's a joke? Stick around.
