You're right i don't know what your position is. But my reasoning was this: You said Shep hopes for a bad outcome so he can blame the right. Shep wants out of Iraq. I assumed that meant you thought leaving Iraq was equal to a bad outcome. And my point is wanting us out of Iraq may be hoping for a good outcome. As for Vietnam, i guess you don't like analogies? Still i think it's a good one. Proponents said Vietnam was part of a global war on Communism. Critics said we were mired in a civil war where we had no business, a war that had very little to do with a war against Communism. Substitute Iraq for Vietnam and Terrorism for Communism and i think you have a pretty compelling analogy... SD
