Knighty, you have to know the budget wasn't really balanced (you can't exclude all the stuff they excluded) and you know that the rush of money was a result of the phony and unsustainable bubble market.
having said that, bush played grim reaper on about everything he touched.
clinton was a phony narcissist, but he knew that doing at least some good things - or not screwing up to bushevic proportions, anyway, was good for him.
bush doesn't have a clue. he's the self proclaimed "decider" (iow, shut up, you peons, your opinions doesn't count, i'm right, you are wrong, regardless of what happens) and he talks to jesus, so what can anyone say?
i disliked clinton for everything but his entertainment value - and there was a lot. i dislike everything about bush and the rampant cronyism and unethical behavior he has engendered throughout the federal government.
fbi agents break the law. his own people out a cia agent. he sends the message it is OK to believe a two time million dollar drug dealer over two veteran border agents and it is OK to have the attorney general go out and mislead the public to no end.
one could go on and on (torture, immoral detention, total disregard for the spirit of laws, etc...), but we are all living it and it is disgusting.
the bushevics make people yearn for bill - and that will likely get hillary in office. i don't like her, either.
