Tom, we all know that. The banks create an asset on their book of the loan amount to be paid back, and a balancing debit is picked
up by the borrower. AND a cash amount slightly smaller is created
(the small existing percentage cash requirement varies 10-15%)
which is inflationary but oils the works and allows living beyond
our real means.

People who borrow to buy real things of solid value can benefit
and this is the basis of our living standard being so high.

If we had to borrow others real cash to buy a house there would not
be enough savings to go around and interest would be high. And the
few wealthy savers would be on top and control all.

USD has dropped 94% during my lifetime, yet look around, life
is improving for most people.

Those that have been predicting a total collapse for decades
have been wrong so far. Older folks may get through this ok,
but need to leave real things for the children.

We accept what we cannot change and prosper in the world others created and run.
