I'm hoping Bush is an aberration. If you can, just put your mind back into the transition from the Clinton admin. Peace, prosperity, a friendly relationship with most of the world. A President-elect promising "compassionate conservatism" and a "humble" foreign policy! We can get back there..

It wasn't 9/11 that "changed everything". It was Bush's overreaction, missing a golden opportunity to take advantage of a sympathetic world, and then exploiting the event for political gains. Bush is the WORST President we could have had to respond to that event. Stupid, reactionary, mean and believing that God had made a worthless scut like him President to do His will - which is really just Bush's (or Cheney's), will. But, if God didn't want it, wouldn't HE prevent it? (Bush tells himself)

The question we'll all ask now of a candidate is, "Will he (or she) be another Bush?" We really just couldn't TAKE another one.
