I'm more confused than ever. You cannot answer yes because my question provided choices. Please, are we (1) with us or (2) against us?

These foreign affairs things are so complex for a nouveau country boy like me.

(PS: Check my last sentence please. Is it correct as "like me" or is it "as me." I seem to remember a nun beating me silly on the use of "like" or "as."
