To my knowledge, ALL modern national currencies are FIAT. I am far from being certain that diversifying into foreign moneys eliminates the currency risk. They are liable to slide down together - and lose buying power even while remaining "stable" against each other. I personally have nothing against the dollar and would like to have more of them. LOL! No disagreement on this one! -g
