Zionist is sometimes used as a pejorative which i think is foolish. It really just means support for a Jewish state where Israel is now. Some people oppose the idea of Zionism as racist since it defines Israel specifically as Jewish. But US policy has been Zionist since at least Truman.

I'm surprised you don't consider yourself Zionist, even under this definition. Why not, if you don't mind saying?
