FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The worldwide appeal of the Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE:RBA; TSX: RBA) online bidding service, rbauctionBid-Live, was proven once again at a US$38 million dollar unreserved auction in Fort Worth, Texas, last week. Close to US$11 million worth of trucks and other industrial equipment in the auction was purchased online - a new record for the Company's permanent Fort Worth auction site. More than 2,200 registered bidders from 38 countries, including 45 U.S. states and nine Canadian provinces, participated in the auction, more than 800 of them using rbauctionBid-Live. Internet bidders were winner or runner-up on 32 per cent of the items available online. Ritchie Bros., the world's largest auctioneer of trucks and industrial equipment, conducted the auction on July 11-13, 2007. |
