Steve,

I haven't been following Julius Wong's thread, but I think he looks for charts making new Hs, not limited to Biotechs.

Aria had a false start to the upside on July 5 which was followed by a DG the next day.But it gave a buy signal on July 27, which was confirmed on May 8.It had a 28% short run to its Thursday H at $6.40 from its May 8 at $5), in spite of its double digit decrease in revenues for 4 consecutive Qs.The loss for 2008 is expected to be around $1 (higher than the previous 3 Yrs. but less than previous estimates.<g>)
The stock is down today for 3rd day on a roll in spite of the announcement on Thursday of that MRK will collaborate with them to get their AP23573 into a PIII, for the treatment of metastatic sarcomas beginning this Q.

SQNM gave a buy signal on April 30 at the $3.69,(when it started to get off its near term DT) & it was confirmed on May 21 when it traded above its previous May H of $3.84 (the insiders had also did some buying in May <g>)The short run gain (from $4 to $5.25 (May 21 to Jun 6)was 31.25% The stock came down to test support at the $4.50 level & is now in another short term up-move.

SQNM has had 4 consecutive Qs of double digit improvements on revenues & has continued to trim its losses.(The expected loss for 2007 is around $0.50 & for 2008 is around $0.25/shr vs. the $0.71/shr in 2006 & >$2/shr in previous years.)It doesn't have significant LTD, the insiders hold around 20%. It did a "private placement" in May in which it raised around $20M. It has resistance at its Jan H of $5.50 before it can test the Dec H at $6.24 (If it can trade above that, it will start to get off its lobg term DT coming from its 200 H at $573 <g>) Caveat: I am long SQNM <g>

STXS gave a recent buy signal on June 29 when it traded above its Feb H at 12.76 but found resistance at the $13.83 level. (Today it is trying to get over that as I am writing this note.g>)Will see if it can close above that resistance today.

STXS has 3 Qs of triple digit improvements on revenues & it also has been trimming its losses. The loss for 2007 is expected to be <$1 & for 2005 a further trim to around $0.45/shr is expected.Its main resistance is at the Jan 2006 H at $15.80 There could be a short squeeze coming, since the short position is now up to 26x its DAV (after increasing 17% last month)& the insiders reportedly hold around 25% + institutions around 45% <g>

SPIR Had better revenues on its 1stQ & trimmed its loss a little.The loss last Yr. was higher than in 2005.As you said, it isn't a pure Biotech or medical Co. as implied in its last name "Solar".<g> It has some orthopedic and other medical devices & markets coated hemodialysis catheters and related devices for the treatment of chronic kidney disease; and performs sponsored research programs into practical applications of advanced biomedical and biophotonic technologies.The stock is starting to get off its near term DT coming from the March double top at the $11.84 level

Its July 2005 all time H was $13.37 & of course, it main income is from its solar business.The stock needs to close above $11 before it can test its March H at $11.84

RAGL= "Regards & Good Luck".
