YOu make good long term points about our situation but as keynes said in the long term we are all dead. I agree that the causes of the deficits must be dealt with--things like SS and Medicare but for the short to intermediate term, the world isnt that much different than it is now. You also minimize the problems the new soviets and the old reds will be dealing with as well. First things first however, islamist terrorism must be taken down--both shiaa and sunni varieties.
