I gave a talk at IIM last year in Ahmedabad (sp?) and was very surprised at the salaries being offered to graduates -- up to $180K US. I have worked with graduates from the IIT and found them to be world class in every sense. People assume that India has an endless supply of cheap tech labor -- it is very misleading. The leading Indian companies have expanded rapidly in China where there are more entry level tech people and fewer experienced managers -- very symbiotic relationship.
