If 1 in 50,000 makes a huge wage ($10k per month) and 49,999 in 50,000 make less, how does that support your sentence? As long as 10,000 out of 50,000 are making $500 per month there is cheap labor in India. My guess is the number making $500 per month or less among the Indian labor population is more like 40,000 in 50,000. In hi tech, I have no idea but I'd still guess Indian programmers with 2 years experience make 50% or less than comparable US programmers. That's cheap hi tech labor, in India.
One exception (one Indian making $10k per month) doesn't prove a generality (cheap hi tech labor is a thing of the past), ya know. |
