So the LBO kings are going to have to close, and their investment banks are going to get the financing terms put to them whether they want to proceed or not -- what poetic justice -- maybe there isn't an endless supply of suckers for all this paper after all.

I love this quote from NIMI Boston -- "Many of these things are beyond our risk desires" -- if that doesn't just say it all......

If something upsets the rate cart again and one of these big deals collapses, the markets will probably see a replay of the failed United Airlines deal in 1989 -- then you'll get your crash, although it might not be the 1987-scale version
