But, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

For example: are Catholics the same thing as Protestants?

(They certainly were *not* during the hundreds of years of bloody religious war in Europe... nor even are they the 'same thing' today.)

Neither are Sunnis and Shiites.

(And, when you add in ALL THE OTHER traditional accelerants for war: competition over natural resources and wealth, competition for political power, tribal and ethnic differences, etc., etc., then I say that these are realities that we can make use of to achieve our national strategic goals.)
