Israeli people for the most part want nothing more than peace and prosperity. They fully realize that for them to have P&P, the pals need to have that outcome too. Anywhere else in the world, this problem would be just about resolved. The Israelis are war weary but that creates a very dangerous situation if peace is not achieved. AT some point you just throw up your hands and annilate your opponent if you have the military advantage if that opponent continues to attack with rockets and terrorism.
As for the pals P&P is not at the top of their list. For folks like us, it appears the pals are in a time warp still stuck in their post 1947 defeat mode. Again i worry about war weary israel lashing out after seeing shrinkage in their military superiority and with iran getting nuke weapons and (perhaps one day saudi arabia and al quaeda) and with continued terror and rocket attacks on a daily basis. Pals cant get over 1947 while israel preempts to prevent a time when the arabs gain parity. Not a good situation for peace unless Pal leaders and people give up their dream of reclaiming all of palestine. If they do that, as you say they get 100% of the WB, a role in Jerusalem, and even a symbolic right of return/reparations to heal all the open wounds. For that no terrorism and ultimately a no-nuke zone.
