my what? I don't recall stating any particular beliefs, except that there is a consensus around the Friedmans' version of the depression, a consensus I didn't advocate in my post. I was responding to Shades' assertion that hoover printed to the high heavens.

I would appreciate a response to the questions I put to you:
1) To what do you attribute the rapid decline in monetary velocity?
2) I am intrigued with your reference to the rapid increase in money which occurred. To what are you referring?
