Tenet is an extremely ironic citation on this topic, and particularly his recent book. This particular review is not at all kind to old "Slam dunk" George, but it seems to indicate that the Weekly Standard types had to be pretty selective in what they took out of his book:

Tenet's attacks focus instead on the walking dead, politically speaking: the glowering and unpopular Cheney; the hapless Rice; the band of irretrievably discredited bumblers who used to run the Pentagon, Donald H. Rumsfeld, Paul D. Wolfowitz and Douglas J. Feith; their neoconservative acolytes such as Richard Perle; and the die-hard geopolitical fantasists at the Weekly Standard and National Review. washingtonpost.com

There is a long, inglorious tale hinted at in the carefully chosen words from Tenet, on the CIA and its failure to provide the intelligence Cheney really wanted, e.g. a Saddam-9/11 link, but that will have to wait for another time.
