Nadine I'm not trying to prove Israel is not legitimate. That's not my point. That's you, talking to someone else, who isn't me, making some other point. That Arab countries are newish (the Arabs themselves being indigenous) has nothing to do with legitimacy either. My point had to do with the Arab anger at the colonial powers for foisting Israel on them. It had ZERO to do with legitimacy. I'm not talking about legitimacy. I don't even know how you figure that one out. People get mad for all sorts of reasons- some are logical, some are not- but pointing out the illogical nature of the anger rarely cures anyone. I think you have the measure of your own imaginary argument with some imaginary person, who is posting way differently than I am. "The West as a whole has done far more to PREVENT Israel winning wars than to help it win them" I'm not sure how you can square the above with all the military and financial assistance we've given Israel. How do you square those things?
