i now use the room a/c vs whole house a/c and it keeps the bedroom cool for my wife. I expect this will help reduce the high electric bills i get each cooling season as i must maintain the room around 71 degrees for her. Late afternoon when sun hits the windows, sky lights i turn the central air (4ton unit) to keep room cool.. during that phase the room a/c acts as a fan as it takes the cold air coming up from bathroom vent and pushes to across bedroom. Later in the evening when sun going down i turn down or shut off central air and return to room a/c. the system has been working great.

prior to having the room a/c the central air couldn't keep up with heat in the room in late afternoon. now the room will act as fan and kick in as a/c when temperature rises. no more putting cold compresses on her to cool her down on very hot days. plus with generator i can relax , a big LOAD, taken off. gg
