but i know the ideas you post. i also know you would be livid if it was your daughter who was raped by 7 priests, impregnated then sent away... and i think you'd be equally enraged by the policy to cover up and the people who instituted the policy to cover up and all those who knew about it and said nothing.
yet, you don't seem to be enraged by the catholic leaderships' role in the policy to cover up and / or sitting idly by while a child rapist is enabled to re-offend, sometimes many more times.
rather, you are enraged with me for eing enraged with them.
this doesn't make rational sense to me.

no it isn't. you let the child rape cover up policy makers off scott free and jump on those who hol them accountable and accuse them of "hating." come on! that's a child rape policy free card... that's not tough!
i don't give out free cards for important matters like the systematic worldwide cover up of child rape. perhaps this is where we disagree.

not true. you make the effort to post and challenge me (part of your imagined catholic hate group - imagined as far as i'm concerned, at least) for challenging the pro-child rape policymakers and supporters (through action or inaction) within the catholic church - ie, church management. if you treated "haters" the same way you treated pro child rape policymakers, we'd be getting a free ride and you'd be criticizing those who criticize us, too!

isn't a group of people who plan, develop and implement pro child rape cover up policies over decades considered "scum?"
if not, why not? if so, why are we even debating?
i'm not an enemy of the catholic church. you've likely devised that paradigm to more easily dismiss and disregard what i'm saying.
i am against those who rape children and who those who institute policies to cover up said rapes and promote those who cover up for child rapists.
apparently, you are not. or you are, but you like arguing with people who are also against those kinds of people. or, we are well in the world of the irrational, so i must be nuts to evenbother trying to figure it out.
that group includes the catholic leadership, so i am at odds with them (or any other group that does the same - feel free to name others and they'll get the same commentary from me).
but not for the reason you imagine. for the reason i've stated.

PS - i'm not stating all catholics are evil all the time. there are many, many catholics that set a much better example of kindness than do i. but that isn't the topic of discussion, so i don't discuss it. please don't infer it based upon the discussion at hand (as it seems you think i'm attacking everything and anything catholic instead of just the child rapes and the systematic criminal child rape cover ups instituted by the catholic leadership. |
