Thank you, Stan, He has lost all speech. Can say NO and the occasional word, but mostly garbled stuff. This is his fourth major stroke. He had his first at 53. Funny you mention valerian!! I took two last night (and boy, it DOES stink. I actually store it in a plastic baggie). It works great for me, and this morning I told my mom-inlaw that she should try it. She's not sleeping or eating well, and she is 83, so we are terribly concerned about her. She doesn't want to take any prescription meds. Yesterday was scary as he started vomiting blood, and no one knows why. I hadn't thought about tea. That;s a nice idea- maybe she could try that before bedtime. Sorry, Kid, I know this was OT!!
