IMO Equating mental midget to illiteracy isn't accurate. Mental midget implies someone who lacks the ability to think or learn, a low IQ; illiteracy is merely an inability to read, probably because one hasn't been taught. When you apply mental midget (bearing in mind this definition), you are claiming that an entire ethnic group is incapable of learning.
