I'll be at Sam Rayburn July 28,29 then on to Toledo Bend Aug 4/5 for a 2day Texana Div 53 champ. They rescheduled the NE OKLA div 65 for the 28/29th so I had a conflict, they also didn't have enough boats. There will be over 30boats fishing Toledo Bend so first place is worth 400pts. I should be able to place in the top 10 if not the top 5? so, 380-390 pts likely? I did poorly at the east OK div 57 champ on Eufaula so I'm trying to improve on the 366pts I got for 12th place. I figure I can gain 20-34pts on my 1134. I also learned I have to fish the regional 4 day event which is 2000pts for 1st, top 400 anglers compete cut down to 25 for the final day....so, I still have more work before qualifying for the Nationals. Next year I am going to concentrate on the bassmaster weekend series and try to fish as many bassmaster opens I can if I can get a sponsor to partnership with to cover the $1000 entry fees and travel expenses. Any top 3 finish in one of those qualifies you for the bassmaster classic...it might be top 5 finish? I'd also like to fish the elite 50 as a non-boater on some of the good lakes....they are fishing Falcon then Amistad next year, a couple good FL lakes, no California lakes? Clear lake is awesome! Entry fees for that are $750 and you have to register for all of them around Thanksgiving. I might not get much concrete work done next year?<g>
I'm in the Southwestern Region 2 so I'm currently ranked 59th, the top 50 anglers from each region qualify for the Nationals. The regional is in Oct. on the Red River in Shreveport Louisiana, I'd just assume miss that but I guess I can't if I want to go to Florida??? I don't like fishing rivers much!

I'm having to work on my fiberglass again already...the bad spot is really bad on the inside and I have to patch it together again until I get back and can have a professional tear into it. I did manage to smooth it out nice where I'm getting out of the hole and picked up another 5mph. I guess its time for a newer boat...I didn't know that part of my hull was that bad...the seller didn't mention it...thus the good price I paid? I should be able have it properly repaired for another grand?<g> |
