I think it would not have been right to invade Germany to depose Hitler before he left German borders. But as soon as he invaded his first country he should have been stopped. That's the way I think things should work.

Then you'll be happy to hear that the US has no plans to invade Gaza. The Israelis may, but that's because of the shelling of Sderot, which I assume counts as a provocation.

However, the wails about "not supporting" Hamas don't have to do with invading it or not. They have to do with giving it money - lots of money. Hamas thinks it's entitled to the money. But the US is not obliged to pay welfare to Hamas (aka foreign aid) esp if Hamas has reneged on all the PA agreements, like recognizing Israel, that were made to get the aid in the first place.
