Steve, I suspect Glaxo's faith in Quidel is well-placed since I suspect they have been keeping a pretty close eye on Quidel's development of the influenza test-especially since Glaxo is paying the freight entirely for its development. If they weren't delighted with what Quidel was doing on the flu test, I'm sure they would never have entered the herpes contract. I also sounds like Glaxo intends to use their own sales people to "co-market" Quidel's herpes tests and again I'm sure they wouldn't want to do that if they had any doubts about Quidel's ability to deliver good tests. More good news for Quidel. BOB
