That's not quite right Kumar. <if u own the land u live on, there is no doubt u own it. at least in the US > There was a case in the USA recently in which a government entity took a property from somebody under eminent domain laws but used it to sell to a commercial developer who was putting something more valuable on the site, which increased the taxes the government body would get.

The Supreme Court or some legal process reversed the property confiscation and returned it to the owner.

Also, if you own it, try seceding and see how far you get!

Amerindian lands are not independent.

I would be surprised if it's much different in India.

In New Zealand, and in the USA and I bet in India too, any number of government agents have control of your property and can come onto and into it any damn time they please.

Have you tried cutting a tree you planted and own on your own property in New Zealand? People go to gaol for it now. I think it's the same in the USA too.

Try building something without have any number of government ticket clippers take their cut BEFORE any work is done.

People do NOT own their own land in the USA or New Zealand. I don't know how India works, but given the socialist decades and poverty, I'd be surprised if it's not much the same.
