the area has two large windows and two sky lights and one bathroom window.. and gets complete sun all day long. By mid afternoon the sun hits the front windows in bedroom and this is like baking the room.

I adjust by keeping the floor vent wide open, cut bathroom floor vent to half open, now use portable a/c that shuts itself down when central air goes on and only uses the fan. the fan throws the cold air across bedroom against the area where the hottest section of the room. This balances out room. i keep vents open althought mfg says to shut down all vents to cool room. i did that at first now with weather hotter and central air running i keep them open and it's working great. i am able to keep house at 77 degrees and bedroom at 70/71.

the new situation has taken a great deal of stress out of my life.. before it was a nightmare trying to keep her cool with room vents wide open and others just cracked throughout house i would still have turn ac way down. i am amazed how this little portable machine has made such a difference. it is just wonderful!
