Now that we go back to the original Mpeg1/2/3/4 properties of non backward compatibility nature of data compression, set-top boxes will no longer have the curse that people force the Mpeg codecs to be compatible electronically. They are only compatible by optical conversion. The morale at EAGB had been building up since the Hughes net service successes, now the set-top box sales succeeded also. We are looking forward to more straight Mpeg2 triple paly system and switchable Mpeg4 triple play installations? Some of us early investors will be happy that EAGB has high morale for their business now.
