I was really pissed when my car wouldn't start. I think my reward was that it didn't backfire and blow my alternator and other electrical stuff. It was just an accidental touch that reversed polarity so I didn't *think* it would wreck anything but I couldn't be positive. I someone goes through the jump process and has their jumpers crossed they can roast their entire electrical system. Fuses are suppose to protect you but I know people who all but ruined their entire electrical system, computer etc etc - it can be bad news
