This seems very possible since Cymer configures the laser on a cart. There is no vibration isolation built into the setup. It was one thing that I wondered about when I saw the system in operation. I consider the cart undersized for the weight of the laser (400 lbs!).

But I was told it was adequate for the job. The cart is fastened to the floor and minor vibrations don't affect the lithography due to beam size. Perhaps Nikon is using the laser in a more critical application like with phase masks. Then vibration could require special mounting of the laser.

It's not a reason to hammer the stock!
