I live on a golf course and have my own golf cart. The thing virtually runs on air. I filled it this spring and play golf almost every day and I doubt I could fit 2 gallons of gas in it.

Golf carts on the road sharing with cars is a bad idea however. In the words of a state patrolman friend, it isn't speed that kills it's difference in speed. Unfortunately with golf carts and cars sharing space you would have a wowzer of a speed difference going on there.
