I continue to think that BRCM has been had by Nokia and now they are scrambling to get involved in the 3G game any way they can. Nokia has to be p****** in its pants now. BRCM just validated the reasonableness of what QCOM charges for its patent portfolio. September is just six weeks away and as of yet, nothing out of Nokia. Didn't NOK throw its two cents in when the ITC verdict was announced about how QCOM hasn't been playing fair? No prose out of Nokia this time as of yet..although it is the middle of the night. Their stooge BRCM just shot NOK in the back. BRCM finally realized that "The Big Kahuna" of the wireless world wasn't going to come through with any goodies that might have been promised so BRCM did what it had to so as to stay viable, at least for now. Otherwise they were going to get shut out completely from the 3G market. They still might, but they have bought themselves some time especially if they manage to sign up some other carriers to this deal.
