This really isn't true. Most plaintiff's attorneys charge nothing and make their money from the settlements, but, only if they win. Consequently, despite your rightwingnut lore, they don't TAKE baseless lawsuits. They don't even take lawsuits where they think there is a valid claim, but they don't have a very good chance of winning. There are consequences for the attorney and the plaintiff if a baseless, junk lawsuit is filed.

I know a few plaintiff's attorneys..
