This month IEEE will be looking at 100G and 40G data transmission standards. Lucent will be again proposing tdma in polarization multiplexer. Which is based on analog TV stereo multiplexer concept. QAM however is more like cdma, code division multiple access. And there is wcdma which is the extension of tdma/gsm concept. It is all a matter of how to arrange carrier frequencies for data streams.

On edge, reduced bandwidth technology, I am proposing an added layer of spelling checker for short hand conversion. This is expected to be patentable in silicon chipsets. Multiple layers of digital and analog plus digital and analog compression systems. even the latest multi carrier prml system. Short hand certainly is a system of reputed advantage.

The media storage solution has to be updated with 40G Ethernet data transfer technology to compensate for cable length in the network in server farms.

Cable, satellite, fiber networks all have to converge, and run at the same speeds.
