I must disagree. The facts surrounding his testimony before congress evidence at the very least, a level of disingenousness that should be unacceptable in the Nation's chief law enforcement officer. He seems either to not know what is going on, not care, or lies about it. Plus, meeting with a subordinate before her testimony before congress to "match their memories" is borderline unethical, and would be far more than unethical if he tried to sway her in any way.

Only weeks ago it was revealed that signficant portions of the Justice Department had major, major problems with the initial version fo the surveillance program - such that it had to be amended by the President. Gonzales testimony on the question whether anyone had any concerns: "To my knowledge, no one expressed any concerns".

Gonzales is very bad news...He should be long gone.
