Sure, UL is something new I've added. A company that long ago started buying US brands. I've own some CAG -Conagra for quite awhile. I think CAG would fit quit nicely in their mix of products. UL itself IMO has also inched up the speculative side because of it US holdings. Just recently rumors flying about takeover possibilities. I'd keep my eye on Nestles as a would be acquirer of US companies. I don't own any currently, but Dean Foods-DF and HSY- Hershey are very depressed currently. IMO the strong Euro makes buying US assets at a discount, outweighing squeezed profit margins and increasing ingredients
costs. FTC and closely held stock positions could prevent an outright takeover. However such actions could force the company into play and trigger another suitor. Dow Jones case in point. Hypothetically if successful, a takeover could leave the would be acquirer selling off pieces to settle FTC anti competitive market share positions.
