Why on Earth would you want to trust in lawyers or politicians? Better to keep your eye on both of them.

And what does either have to do with the issue of a small percentage of docs being responsible for most of the costs of malpractice?

"There's a reason why doctors are generally more respected in society than lawyers and politicians."

For one, the AMA does excellent PR. And TV has always loved them because it simplifies the writing task. But, "Marcus Welby" was only a TV show.

No one gets my respect without earning it. There are lots of good docs out there. But "most" doesn't mean "all".

But, I guess you operate differently.
