More on Economist editorial, relating to TPRO.

"Giga Information Group, a Massachusetts consultancy, reckons that 5% of all embedded chips-which could amount to millions of devices-will fail the date test. According to other estimates, embedded chips will account for about 30% of the total millennium-bug cost." [emphasis added]

Using their conservative $300 billion figure, the embedded systems companies get to divvy up $900 million. Let's see, there's TPRO, and ... ... Hmmmm..... Who else is there????
