Gold futures close near $685, up 2.6% for the week - SAN FRANCISCO 7/20/2007 - August gold climbed $6.60 to close at $684.70 an ounce - Friday, its highest closing level since May 9. - The contract finished the week with a gain of 2.6%. September silver closed at a one-month high of $13.403 an ounce - up 2.8 cents for the day and up 2.2% for the week. September copper climbed at $3.7055 a pound - its highest level since May 4.
