Here are a few more sales I've made. Perhaps the fact that I've given up and am taking losses on some of these means there might be an opportunity for someone willing to buy now & wait to get a turnaround in the companies' fortunes.

BC: In 11/05 @$39.46. Out today on bad quarter's news @$30.44. A few shares, but a nine point loss adds up. Really, a boat builder in this market - tougher loans, possible economic slowdown, and high gas prices - there's really been no good reason to hold this stock. It's a dominant, innovative player, but too tough for me to hold on to the stock now. I didn't do well with this stock at all: overpaid, held too long, finally sold only after a sharp decline.

BEE: Hotel reit. I like their trophy properties, but yield is very low for a reit (imo). In 7/06 @20.22 & 21.25. Sold half today @$24.22.

JPM: Another bank. In 7/05 @35.28; closed out today @ $48.66

MOT: In 2/07 @ $19.01 for a few exploratory shares. Out today @ $17.94. Has lot of cash; Company seems unable to get itself together though. I don't see where the earnings are going to come from. True, I don't see well (-g-), but the forward p/e is high (higher than current), so analysts must not see good earnings soon either. Some media discussion of the incompetence of senior management. I'll continue to hold NOK.
