I am DEBT FREE, have NO DEPENDENTS at home, though I do still help out my son, wife still works so we are partially covered for medical (still costs about $250 month as our portion). But, our GAS bill alone runs at least 200 a month (wife commutes 32 miles roundtrip each day), house insurance over 3,700 annually, car insurance over 2300 annually (3 vehicles though only 2 drivers, my TJ is basically an offroad vehicle). Real estate taxes on two properties about 5k.
Now, we are going to move to NEW MEXICO sell off our land and home here in Fla. However, will have to pay NM state income taxes whereas Fl. has NONE. If I can get our expenses down to 40k a year I would be a happy camper. Hoping to save money on home insurance, car insurance, real estate taxes (one property only and gasoline (wifes new job only about 2 miles from our new home) and possibly utilities (in S. Fla. electric bill runs average of at least $200 a month due to constant air conditioning. jdn
