My wife and I are amazed that buildings in Rosalyn are being leveled and replaced by new ones.

DC is not typical of the US. As US population grows, a disproportionate number of jobs are created in DC.

Construction near downtown doesn't bug me -- but people commuting towards the beltway from Frederick Md. and Fredericksburg Va. does.

Also -- at rush hour now (which lasts from 6am - 9am) and (4pm - 7pm), more than 1/2 the beltway is stop and go. I've been predicting that in less that 10 years -- ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the beltway will be stop and go during "rush hour".
