<Is it disaster, or is it merely the appearance of it?> In the best case scenario where just a few drill holes have to be recalculated, remeasured or redone, they still have a huge problem IMO.

IMO they should have halted all trading in the stock and not have resumed any trading until they could have a clear handle on the situation.

They should have left it at this:

<The Company is continuing its detailed review of the Boka Project in an expedited manner, including additional field work and drilling new holes. The Company will make a further announcement when such results are available.>

This however makes it seem like a much worse case scenario is quite possible:

<Accordingly, the Company hereby withdraws all its previously announced results for the Boka Project and advises that such results should not be relied upon.>

If this turns out to be a huge exaggeration, then SWG still will have a huge problem with lawsuits from everyone who dumped their stock based on that announcement.

Interesting also that John Patterson resigned, but that John Zhang was dismissed. This is the first time I can recall where someone was actually fired instead of being allowed to resign.

Another point I believe should be made is that IMO this does not represent a "China" problem. This could have happened and perhaps is happening anywhere.

This whole business has a kind of macabre fascination for me. Not too long ago SWG was about 5% of my holdings. I thought of it as a secure long term investment in an undervalued play. I only sold it because I had another speculation to make. I had every attention of rebuying it in a few months.

Blind luck and guardian angels play huge parts in the speculator's fate.
