TCG, of course you mean WITHOUT a license from QCOM for their THOUSANDS of patents. Gonna be tough to get into the w-cdma, umts, cdma, cdma2000, tdscdma and arguably gsm/edge business without that pesky license from QCOM. I'm sure that QCOM will agree to a preferred customer rate for BRCMs license...after all it's not like there is any bad blood between the two. Unfortunately for BRCM, they have been fighting Nokia's battle for them and they will soon be abandoned now that their usefulness is over. Unfortunately for NOK the deal with Verizon sets a very costly precedent concerning the FRANDLY value of individual patents.
