Thanks ...Yep, Buddy gave us lots of good memories, as well as some that weren't so great! Both Buddy and our Golden Retriever Yankee were just such loves. Yankee was nearly 17 when we had to put him down, and we were just undone for a long time. Yankes and Buddy both seemed to always be smiling or laughing. They were both a total headache when it came to grass and plants...

One time when Yankee was still a puppy, F had just planted about 25-30 gallon size azeleas in the back yard. The next day we were gone all day, and came home to only find two of them still planted. EVERY single other azelea was out of its hole, and scattered to the winds...some were in a zillion little pieces. And Yankee had his tongue out to the side, and just was SO pleased with himself.

F on the other hand, was "hugely offended", and quite verbally said so to Yankee and any neighbor who was unfortunate enough to have their windows open....!

We never knew if Yankee ever knew why he was in the persona non grata doghouse for a couple of weeks or not...

Doggies and humans....aren't we funny?
